With a jam-packed holiday season spread out between Arizona, Southern California, and the Bay Area, I dissolved up booking a return flight dwelling for the evening of New Year’s Day. After spending the afternoon with my mothers as they put away Christmas medallions and cleaned the house, we headed to the airport.
As we drove, we pointed out the fairly empty streets, a complete startle is comparable with usual, and the curbside drop-off ogled almost as barren. When I trod inside, only 3 beings stood in front of me in the security checkpoint line … I presume many folks decided to extend their holiday trips to the very end of New Year’s week!
A few more parties carrying plenty of luggage milled about the concourse and food courts inside of the terminal, grabbing snacks and dinner for their flights, but I maintained accompanying straight to my entrance, one almost at the far end of the building. However, I roughly delayed when I spotted…
The See’s Candy booth with a large sign prominently exposing a massive discount on their assorted cartons of vacation truffles! You “know what youre talking about” much I cherish chocolate … And I will always make room for it in my luggage!
Yet as I slow-paced my tempo to get a better look, I realized that the remaining caskets all contained milk chocolate truffles … And I’m definitely a dark chocolate daughter. I smiled to myself, the temporary desire completely travel, and continued down the walkway to my gate.
Even so, my sentiment preserved straying back to chocolate truffles during my short one-hour flight, and I started to be considered some of my favorite truffle spices. These chocolate chip cookie dough ones, these pumpkin ones, these eggnog ones, these snickerdoodle ones …
And by the time the plane arrived, I had completely convinced myself that I needed to make a new batch of homemade ones … Which resulted in these Healthy Raspberry Truffles!
This recipe involves really 6 parts, so they’re simple and straightforward to procreate. They’re really pretty too! That sumptuous pink colour of the soft fill inside is all from raspberries — no food coloring whatsoever!
