Meghan Markle’s return to the television screen was put on pause due to the Palisades and Eaton fires, among other wildfires, ripping through Los Angeles County in January. But now, fans are getting to see her return to the screen! Keep reading for everything we know.

Why did Meghan Markle postpone her Netflix show?

Meghan’s highly anticipated new series, With Love, Meghan, was supposed to drop on Netflix on January 15, 2025, but the Duchess of Sussex quickly postponed its release as her hometown recovers from the natural tragedy.

“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Meghan said in a statement on January 12, explaining her decision. With Love, Meghan, drops on March 4.

Meghan grew up in Los Angeles, and now lives with husband Prince Harry and her two small children in the small town of Montecito, California, just about an hour and a half drive north from the City of Angels. The couple quickly sprang into action amid the devastation, not only opening their home to loved ones and friends impacted by the catastrophic fires, but spending an entire day volunteering in Pasadena, working alongside World Central Kitchen to provide food and goods to those in need.

Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo said after the fact that both Meghan and Harry lifted the spirits of those impacted, telling FOX11 Los Angeles, “It’s great people, great personalities and great heart for them to come out here and meet with the first responders, meet with the people who were affected. It’s very important. They really buoyed the spirits of the first responders.”
