Unlock the Ultimate Outdoor Experience: The Insider Secrets Every First-Time Camper Needs to Know Now
2. Sleeping Bag
A good quality sleeping bag is essential for a good camping experience. Like puffy jackets, there are two main types of sleeping bags, down and synthetic. It’s important to choose the right sleeping bag based on the temperature and climate you’re in.
When purchasing a sleeping bag you’ll notice there are varying temperature ratings on each. A 40-degree sleeping bag works great in the warmest summer temperatures; 60-degrees and warmer.
If you plan to camp in the spring or fall I’d recommend a sleeping bag between 15-20 degrees. If you plan to camp in the winter, get a 0-degree bag. If you know you’ll only be camping in really warm summer weather, a simple blanket like the Rumpl Original Puffy Blanket will do the job.
