Katie Taylor’s Final Fight Announcement Reveals Shocking Net Worth That Could Change the Game Forever

Katie Taylor, the unstoppable force from Bray, has officially signaled that her epic boxing journey is drawing to a close with one last show-stopping fight in Dublin this summer. Katie Taylor has confirmed she will retire following her final professional fight in Dublin this summer.

The Bray fighter has long held ambitions of fighting at Croke Park, but the venue for her farewell bout is still to be determined.

If negotiations with the GAA fail, the Aviva Stadium and 3Arena remain possible venues.

“We’re still trying to figure the details out but I do having one more fight this year. It’s kind of like my retirement fight,” Taylor told RTÉ on Wednesday.

“It has been an amazing journey, the whole lot of it, over these last 20 years. I have had the highs and lows. It has been an incredible, remarkable career and I always wanted to end it here in Ireland.

“That’s what we’re hoping and preparing for, to have one last fight. It is going to be an amazing celebration.

“I just want to fight in Dublin to end my career. Obviously we’re still hoping for Croke Park, we’re hanging on to a bit of hope that it can happen.”

The All-Ireland schedule dictates that August is the most likely date for Taylor’s fight, and she said herself that she thinks it will happen in either July or August.

“I just know I’ll fight this year during the summer time and all the other details will be laid out in the coming weeks and months.

“Either way I’m in the gym for whenever and whoever it will be. I’m staying sharp and ready.”

The 39-year-old has won 25 of her 26 professional fights, losing for the only time against Chantelle Cameron in 2023 before beating her in the rematch.

The undisputed light-welterweight world champion and 2012 Olympic champion last fought in July when she beat Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden to cap their trilogy of matches.

Taylor and Serrano split an $18m purse on the night, the biggest purse in the history of women’s boxing, and the fight is believed to have significantly bolstered her net worth.

It is understood Taylor is worth around €10m, having pocketed around $6m (€5.1m) for the second Serrano fight in Texas last November.

She is believed to have earned $2m for the first fight in the trilogy.

The latest accounts for Taylor’s Irish-registered companyKT Sports Ltd, show losses of €48,300 and €45,800 over the past two years, bringing net assets down to slightly more than €1.5m.

The company lists around €758,300 in investment property assets and cash reserves of €663,600.

The company directors, Taylor and sister Sarah Taylor, were paid €52,100 for the year.

She has an estimated net worth of $12m.
