Rob Rausch Drops Chilling Snake Comparisons That Expose the Darkest Secrets of the Traitors Cast—You Won’t Believe Who’s the Biggest Viper!
Ever wonder what kind of snake your favorite reality TV stars would be if they slithered their way into the wild? Well, buckle up—because Rob Rausch, the muscle and brains behind The Traitors, isn’t just crushing challenges on-screen; he’s also a bona fide snake wrangler off it. This guy’s got more snake stories than a jungle explorer—and he’s here to decode the scaly personalities lurking in Alan Cumming’s Scottish castle. From gliding paradise tree snakes to the stealthy sunbeam snake, it’s a reptilian roll call you didn’t know you needed. Ready to meet the vipers and boas of The Traitors? Trust me, these slithering insights are not for the faint-hearted… LEARN MORE.
ANYONE WHO WATCHES The Traitors knows that Rob Rausch is many things: a beast at the show’s physical challenges, a rock under pressure, and a wily strategist in the Traitors’ turret. But one of his most fascinating real-life vocations is that of snake wrangler. The 27-year-old Alabama native is always posting videos on his social feeds of his slithering finds and schooling followers on scientific facts about his favorite scaly critters. And since there’s no habitat more full of vipers than Alan Cumming’s castle in the Scottish highlands (with Rauch being one of the deadliest), we thought we’d ask the Traitors favorite for a taxonomy of a few of his fellow players (and their gracious host) as snakes. Beware: his findings aren’t for the faint of heart.
Alan Cumming
“He’s an emerald tree boa, all day. It’s just an elegant snake. They’re so ornate, but they’re also almost stoic, which is a balance Alan strikes so well. He wears these crazy outfits, but somehow, he’s not doing too much. And that’s a fine line.”
Lisa Rinna
“Oh, I’ve got to give her a good one. She would be a paradise tree snake. They have these beautiful colors, and they’re the only snakes that can actually glide. They can spread their ribs and glide through the air from tree to tree. That’s very Lisa—she just kind of glides in.”
Eric Nam
“Sunbeam snake. It’s a fossorial species, which means they’re really rare to see above the soil, but when you do, they have this gorgeous iridescence. I feel like Eric is a low-key guy—he’s humble, and I like that about him—but then I’ll see a clip of him on TikTok and think, What the heck! This guy’s a star!“
Tara Lipinski & Johnny Weir
“They’d make a great pair of Asian vine snakes. They’re one of the most unique-looking snakes. They have this nickname, ‘the judgmental shoelace,’ because they give you this little look. I can see Tara and Johnny as a good pair, out the jungle, eyeing the other snakes and chatting about them.”
Maura Higgins
“I’m going to go with rainbow boa. They’re constrictors, but they’re relatively chill. And they’re very beautiful.”
Michael Rapaport
“Brahminy blind snake! You can find it on every single continent except for Antarctica. It’s a fossorial species too. It has like little, tiny eyes, but I don’t even know if they work.”
