SAP Landscapes, one of Ireland’s largest commercial landscaping and grounds maintenance firms, has secured a new investment from Dublin-based private equity firm Renatus Capital Partners to support its next phase of expansion.
The Co Kildare-headquartered company said the investment partnership will help accelerate growth across the business, including geographic expansion and the development of new services.
SAP Landscapes also said it will explore further growth opportunities through acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
The company generates annual turnover of more than €30m and currently employs over 330 people across six locations.
It manages more than 800 commercial and residential properties nationwide, with services spanning landscape construction, grounds maintenance, interior plant installations, tree surgery, project works and winter services.
Founded in 1976 by Tom Walsh and Jerry O’Reilly, SAP Landscapes has grown into a major player in Ireland’s commercial landscaping sector over the past five decades.
The company said the new investment is intended to build on that long-standing market position while supporting continued expansion in a sector that is seeing increasing demand from property managers, commercial developments and public sector clients.
Managing director Geoff Moran will continue to lead the business following the deal, while the existing senior management team will remain in place.
SAP Landscapes said day-to-day operations, contracts and client relationships will remain unchanged as the business moves into its next stage of growth.
The company added that Anne O’Reilly, who has played a key role in the stewardship of SAP Landscapes in recent years, supported the move as part of a longer-term strategy to position the business for future development.
Renatus Capital Partners, which is headquartered in Dublin, invests in Irish and UK companies and focuses on partnerships with owner-managed and family businesses.

The firm is currently investing from its third €60m fund and said it sees strong opportunities to support SAP Landscapes as it scales its operations and strengthens its position in the Irish market.
SAP Landscapes was advised on the transaction by Capnua Corporate Finance.
