  • Amazon marked down a bunch of our best-tested Garmin watches for its Big Spring Sale.
  • Some of its most popular models, including the Forerunner, Fenix, and Venu, are all seeing substantial price cuts.
  • The savings event runs through the 31st.

WE TEST PLENTY of fitness trackers and smartwatches here at Men’s Health, but when it comes to outdoor enthusiasts, one has regularly stood out in our trials—Garmin. While an Apple Watch or a standard Fitbit can cover the basics, we prefer Garmin watches for more adventurous workouts. Hiking, rock climbing, and trail running all fit under that umbrella, and Garmin’s rugged line of watches fits the bill.

Garmin’s watches do tend to run you a bit more, but you get what you pay for. Still, it might not be within everyone’s preferred price range—at least not yet.

Editor-tested and approved Garmin smartwatches are still up to 55 percent off during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. The savings event kicked off on March 25 and runs through the 31st, but it appears many of the deals are still going strong. This includes some of our favorite hand-tested devices, such as the Forerunner 965, which is now $100 off (and rarely on sale). There are also substantial price cuts on older models, but they’re not markedly different than some of the newer versions we’ve tested.

We outlined some of the best-kept secret deals on Amazon. With the sale winding down, we’d suggest carting now and second-guessing later.

By far the best deal is nearly $400 off the Garmin Epix Gen 2, now $300. The waterproof watch is built with athletes in mind and features a bright AMOLED display and up to 16 days of battery life. One thing to note is that this particular model is refurbished, but Amazon’s Renewed Store has a robust quality assurance program (in addition to Amazon’s typical stellar return policy). At this price, it’s worth it.

Another can’t-miss deal comes from one of our all-time favorite Garmin watch lines in the Fēnix 7X Pro Solar, which is almost half off. The watch uses a proprietary Power Glass solar-charging lens that provides weeks of battery life without a manual charge. It also features a lot of awesome fitness data, including an endurance score, a customized morning report, and a training readiness feature that fully optimizes your workout.

With greener pastures around the corner—both literally and figuratively—we’re amped up for golf season. Now’s a great time to nab one of our favorite golf watches, the Approach S12, considering it’s under $170. The S12 features a whopping 30 hours of battery life and comes preloaded with 42,000 courses from around the globe.

As mentioned, there are a few non-smartwatch deals, too. If you’re in the market for a new dash cam—a solid investment that could potentially save you thousands down the line—the Garmin X210 is now 20 percent off on Amazon. It’s ultracompact, easy to set up, and features intuitive voice control. Avid hikers should also consider the Garmin InReach Mini 2, an emergency satellite communicator that serves as a backup device to your phone when you’re in the great outdoors. It’s still 25 percent off as we creep towards the finish line.

Other standout deals include 20 percent off the ultra-durable Fēnix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar, 25 percent off the Venu Sq 2, and 32 percent off the ever-reliable Forerunner 255.
