This weekend, Mother Daughter Holy Spirit will return for an in-person closet sale featuring an array of notable vintage and runway pieces donated by some of the biggest names in fashion. The event follows last year’s runway show and four subsequent drop-style sales, all in support of the Trans Justice Funding Project.

The sale will take place at Blue Green Works on New York’s Lower East Side, with items donated from Chloë Sevigny, Hari Nef, Julia Fox, Lena Waithe, Pedro Pascal, Richie Shazam, and many, many more. Highlights include two pieces from the 2025 runway show: the rose-printed strapless Tanner Fletcher gown worn by Lux Pascal, and the black and cream, bow-embellished wool Valentino dress modeled by Alex Consani. Richie Shazam put forth a Puppets & Puppets blue and white floral dress she wore to CFDA’s Sotheby sale in 2024. Two additional noteworthy items include a Jean Paul Gaultier tromp l’oeil bikini top from the 1996 “Cyberbaba” collection and a Rick Owens Hooded Stooges Jacket from his Spring 2025 Hollywood-inspired runway show.

Mother Daughter Holy Spirit is a three-part grassroots fundraiser working in conjunction with the Trans Justice Funding Project, a community-led funding initiative founded in 2012 to support grassroots, trans justice groups (like this one) run by and for trans people in the United States. MDHS was founded by organizing partners Bobbi Salvör Menuez and John Mollett and is produced by Lío Mehiel, with the support of a large and generous team of collaborators. Since its inception, the group has hosted the runway show, this sale, and a T-shirt campaign and celebrity closet sales. The work they’re doing is more important than ever.

“As we watch the horrific erosion of trans rights in this country, we are confronted with the reality that our liberation is bound together. That any attack on trans rights is a direct attack on all human rights,” wrote Menuez, Mollett, and Mehiel in an email to Bazaar. “As a team of queer and trans cultural workers, we are committed to galvanizing the creative resources readily available in our communities towards visions of collective liberation, with trans liberation front and center. Fashion has always been a site for gender expression and alchemy, as well as an industry fueled by queer creativity, which is why the proceeds from this sale will directly support the work of queer and trans activists via the Trans Justice Funding Project.”

The sale is first-come, first-served until they sell out—so go early! And hey, why not buy the Jean Paul Gaultier when it’s for such a great cause?
