Irish healthcare and wellness company Soothing Solutions Ltd has announced the appointment of Trystan Farnworth as Business Development Manager for the UK market, as the company accelerates its expansion plans for 2026.

Farnworth will represent the company and its children’s healthcare brand Tonstix, with a focus on building opportunities across the grocery retail and travel sectors throughout the UK.

The move comes as Soothing Solutions seeks to grow awareness and distribution of Tonstix, a specialist children’s wellness brand aimed at easing sore throats, soothing cough discomfort and supporting children experiencing travel sickness.

The company said the brand has already gained momentum in the UK, with Tonstix now stocked in more than 300 Boots UK stores and ranked among the top 10 products in its category on Amazon UK.

Farnworth brings more than two decades of commercial experience in the FMCG sector, having worked with multinational brands including Nestlé, Britvic and PepsiCo across both the UK and Irish markets.

His career began in national account management roles, working closely with retailers and brand owners before progressing into senior leadership positions.

During his final decade at Britvic, he held board-level responsibilities across Commercial, Sustainability and Innovation functions.

In addition to his corporate background, Farnworth has operated his own consultancy business, advising companies on market entry, commercial scaling and retail growth strategies.

Speaking about the appointment, Sinéad Crowther, CEO of Soothing Solutions Ltd, said: “Trystan’s appointment marks an exciting chapter for Soothing Solutions Ltd as we accelerate our UK expansion plans.

“His expertise in retail development, innovation and commercial growth makes him an exceptional fit for our business and for the continued expansion of Tonstix.

“His experience working with some of the world’s most recognised brands, combined with his entrepreneurial track record supporting growing businesses, will be invaluable as we scale across the UK market.”

The company has also announced a partnership with Powermed as part of its wider UK strategy, a move expected to strengthen Tonstix’s presence within the pharmacy sector and expand accessibility across independent and community pharmacies.

Separately, Soothing Solutions has secured pharmaceutical distribution agreements with Link3 and Phoenix Healthcare Distribution, two major UK healthcare wholesalers.
