Selena Gomez’s Stunning Launch: What Her Shimmering Fringe Dress Reveals About Her First Perfume Surprise
Selena Gomez just took celebration to a whole new level in Los Angeles, and honestly, it got me wondering—what’s more thrilling: launching a brand’s very first fragrance or nailing that show-stopping dress that turns heads as you walk in? On Thursday night, Selena did both when she unveiled Rare Beauty’s inaugural scent, Rare Eau de Parfum, dressed in a shimmering ivory halter gown that danced with every step. As someone who’s been around the block with brand launches and knows a thing or two about making a splash (both in style and strategy), I can’t help but admire how she blended elegance with innovation—especially with a perfume design that’s as thoughtful as its scent. Curious about how Selena’s magical night came together and what makes this fragrance a game-changer? LEARN MORE
Selena Gomez celebrated a major moment for Rare Beauty on Thursday night in Los Angeles, launching the brand’s first-ever fragrance, Rare Eau de Parfum. Of course, a celebratory night calls for a celebratory dress, which is exactly what she went for.
The singer and actress chose an ivory halter dress adorned with delicate fringe full of shimmer.
The gown, which is from the brand Cult Gaia, created a sleek and fluid silhouette that moved as she walked. She accessorized with small diamond-encrusted hoops and styled her brunette hair into a smooth ponytail.
Gomez topped her look off with a pair of white strappy mules. Gomez’s ethereal outfit came together courtesy of longtime stylist Erin Walsh, who also works with Mariska Hargitay and Alison Brie.
The beauty mogul opted for soft makeup for the evening that included a warm brown eyeshadow, a hint of pink blush, nude lip liner, and a glossy finish.
Rare Eau de Parfum was developed in collaboration with perfumer Jérôme Epinette. It is a sophisticated gourmand blend that combines creamy caramel and pistachio with vanilla, spicy ginger, and sandalwood. Officially released on August 7, the scent has already gained attention on social media for its thoughtful packaging. Unlike traditional spray bottles, the Rare Beauty perfume features a tap-to-spray design that is easier to use for those with limited hand mobility.
Earlier in the week, Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco enjoyed a date night where she wore this season’s controversial capri pants trend. She paired flared denim capris by Jacquemus with a black-and-white sweater set from La Ligne. Her look was completed with bow-adorned slingbacks from Jacquemus and a sleek updo.
