Waterford-based George Corbett Motors has been named the overall winner at the 2026 Waterford Digital Awards, in recognition of the company’s investment in digital technology to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.

The awards, organised by Waterford Local Enterprise Office in partnership with Waterford City and County Council, celebrate small and medium-sized businesses that have successfully embraced digital transformation and e-commerce.

The winners were announced at a ceremony held in Dooley’s Hotel on Friday.

Founded in 1995, George Corbett Motors secured the top prize after implementing a digital transformation strategy centred on a fully connected, data-driven marketing and sales ecosystem.

The company integrated its marketing platforms, CRM data and sales processes into a single framework, allowing it to measure the effectiveness of customer interactions from initial online engagement through to vehicle purchase.

Chelsey Walsh, digital marketing manager at George Corbett Motors, said the new approach had transformed how the business understands its customers.

“Our new system allows us to track the full customer journey from initial digital interaction through to enquiry, showroom engagement, and sale,” she said.

“It has been a team effort and I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved and the win here this evening.

“All the businesses here tonight have amazing stories and to be chosen as the overall winner is remarkable.”

Mayor of Waterford City and County, Cllr Liam Brazil, praised the standard of this year’s entrants and highlighted the growing importance of digital technologies for local businesses.

“Digital marketing and its tools have allowed our business community, here in Waterford, to connect with the rest of the world in a faster and smarter way. The stories of today’s finalists and winners are truly inspirational,” he said.

George Corbett Motors also claimed the Best Digital Transformation award, while the other category winners included TEFL Institute of Ireland for Best E-Commerce Business, Adara for Best Use of Social Media and MindPath for Best Digital Marketing Campaign.

Each category winner received €1,000 towards technical advice, photography, videography and marketing, while George Corbett Motors also took home the overall cash prize of €2,500.

Jacqui Gaule, Acting Head of Enterprise at Local Enterprise Office Waterford, said the calibre of entries reflected the strength of the county’s business community.
