This trip came after years of Harry fighting for state-backed police protections for his family during visits to the United Kingdom, a benefit that was stripped from the Sussexes when they stepped down from their positions as senior royals in 2020. However, despite a court decision authoritatively denying them of these protections early last year, the family still decided to make a quiet trip to see the monarch and his wife last Friday.

It was a rare reunion for Harry and his father, who endured years of conflict before beginning to repair their relationship in 2025. Yet, while these two may be healing some wounds, it seems that Harry’s relationship with his brother, Prince William, is still quite fractured.

According to a new report from People, Harry and his only sibling did not see each other during the Duke of Sussex’s time in England. “It’s so broken,” a source said of the brothers’ relationship. “I thought it would have perhaps eased a little bit by now, to be honest. But there has been no movement, especially on William’s side. There is no contact.”
