AS A SHOPPING editor for Men’s Health, I come across way too many sale events that just don’t cut. So, trust me when I say that the best gear, apparel, and grooming deals pop up every year during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale.
If you’ve got a Nordstrom card, you already have early access in the bag. But for everyone else, the gates officially open to the general public on July 18, and run through August 9.
SHOP THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
Unlike most sales, this annual event drops legit discounts on fresh fall arrivals from top-tier brands like Nike apparel, Hoka sneakers, On Running, shirts and basics from Ralph Lauren, and way more on the apparel side. Kiehl’s, Supergoop, and Le Labo lead the skin care and grooming front (and my wallet is very thankful).
To help you load up your cart without wasting time, I checked our gear, style, and grooming guides to pull together a few great items on sale at Nordstrom. That said, it’s definitely best to not sleep on Nordstrom’s standard sale section during the main anniversary event. While everyone else is fighting over the new arrivals, the classic clearance hub is packed with hundreds of extra markdowns you can shop right now, no special card required.
Cash in on Some Wardrobe Staples
A guy like me is constantly shopping for clothes that can match the right vibes in the office and for when I’m out and about. Nordstrom has tons of name-brand options that are giving off cool-guy aesthetics. Rag & Bone has a pair of jeans that I’ve been eyeing for so long that are finally on sale for 33 percent off. I’m also a big fan of all the classic Ralph Lauren shirts, and so it’s cool to see those under $100. I might just snag everything you see below, honestly.
Invest in Your Grooming Routine
My personal favorite deals to look at are always in the skincare department. Listen, that stuff is expensive and runs out faster than anything else on this list, so you can’t blame a guy for wanting to stock up while he can. Kiehl’s is one of my go-to brands, especially when it comes to its cleansers and moisturizers, both of which are seeing discounts up to 35 percent off. I always lean toward Le Labo when I’m feeling more boujee than I actually am, and so you can put money on me taking the shower gel off the shelves. Supergoop is also saving the day with a duo pack of its SPF. I’ll die on the hill that you need to wear sunscreen every day if you want to preserve your skin, so this should be your first purchase if you’re anything like me.
Expand Your Athleisure
With sales on athletic gear like Hoka sneakers, Nike running shorts, On running shoes, and more, Nordstrom is making your fitness goals a top priority. The Clifton line at Hoka is a favorite here at Men’s Health, so seeing the 10s knocked down 20% is obviously a sight for sore eyes. Also digging the Petar Millar performance jersey for my next golf outing.
Don’t Skip the Basics
The best part of sale events is that you can grab the items that you know you need at a cheaper price. That goes for the basics, like socks, underwear, undershirts, and all that good stuff. My favorite sock brand (Bombas) has a 6-pack of ankle socks marked down. I’m also a fan of the pack of Ralph Lauren underwear that low-key deserves an entire photo shoot of its own.
