Romy and Michele are back! Nearly three decades after the best friends were caught in a web of lies at their high school reunion, the iconic ’90s duo has returned. In all the pink, purple, and sparkles you could dream of.

Stepping back into character, Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino attended D23’s Disney Ultimate Fan event in Los Angeles, teasing the forthcoming Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion sequel. And to reprise their comedic roles, they took a page from their glitzy 1997 on-screen wardrobes.

For Kudrow, who portrayed Michele in the cult classic, this meant embracing all the best that the color pink has to offer. In addition to a cropped short-sleeve jacket and printed top, she wore a little baby-pink miniskirt with matching tights and heels. She accessorized with a sparkling bag and a chunky charm belt. Next to her, Sorvino posed in a light-purple trench coat, a bedazzled silver belt, and colorful lucite jewelry.

“People keep asking us what we’ve been up to,” Sorvino said, as Romy. “Should we tell them, Michele?”

Giving the crowd a hint about what’s to come from the forthcoming follow-up to the 1997 cult classic, Kudrow (as Michele), revealed that “fashion is still [the characters’] life.” Jumping in, Sorvino noted that, all these years later, the duo still owns their own Beverly Hills boutique—which her co-star described as “like, really chic.”

“We’re entering a whole new phase of our lives,” Sorvino-slash-Romy added. “We’re thinking maybe it’s finally time to find true love.” The upcoming comedy will be released on Hulu in 2027.
