DroneArt Show: Harry Potter™ lands at Toronto’s former Downsview Airport for two nights this September.

Toronto is getting a little more magical this fall.

For two nights only, the world of Harry Potter will take over the city’s night sky as a DroneArt Show: Harry Potter™arrives at YZD, the former Downsview Airport, on September 25 and 26.

The open-air spectacle will send 1,200 illuminated drones into the sky, recreating recognizable moments and imagery inspired by the Harry Potter films through synchronized aerial choreography, music and dialogue from the franchise.

Rather than simply watching images form overhead, the experience is designed to feel cinematic. A live violinist will perform alongside the display as the drones move across the sky in time with the soundtrack, bringing another layer to some of the series’ most familiar musical moments.

Guests will also receive LED wristbands that interact with key scenes throughout the performance, extending the light show beyond the sky and into the audience.

“We set out to create something that feels as emotional and cinematic as the films, but experienced in a completely new way,” Sofia Altuna, global lead for DroneArt Show at Fever, said in a release. “We’re excited to present this experience to audiences in Canada and invite fans for an unforgettable large-scale live spectacle that celebrates the stories they know and love.”

The Toronto dates are part of a wider international tour from Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and Fever, with stops planned across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. The production comes from Nova Sky Stories.

The night starts before the drones take off, too. Guests will be able to grab food and drinks and shop Harry Potter merchandise on-site before settling in for the show.

For anyone who grew up waiting for their Hogwarts letter, seeing 1,200 drones bring the Wizarding World to life above Toronto might be the next best thing.

DroneArt Show: Harry Potter™ takes place September 25 and 26, 2026, at YZD, 590 Wilson Ave., North York. Fans can join the Toronto waitlist and find ticket information through Fever.
