OUTsurance’s Dublin Expansion: What Skyrocketing Staff Numbers Reveal About Their Next Big Move

OUTsurance, the South African insurer shaking up the Irish market, just cracked that code by expanding its Dublin footprint from 19,000 to 36,000 square feet—and they’re not stopping there. With ambitions to grow their team to 300 by 2026, this move signals more than just square footage growth; it’s a bold bet on Ireland’s insurance scene and a testament to their skyrocketing demand. OUTsurance has nearly doubled the size of its Dublin office as it seeks to accommodate its growing workforce.
The South African insurer has expanded its footprint at the Cherrywood business park from 19,000 sq ft to 36,000 sq ft and remains on track to reach its hiring target of 300 by the end of 2026.
Minister of State at the Department of Finance with special responsibility for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance Robert Troy attended the official opening.
He said OUTsurance’s expansion was a strong vote of confidence in the Irish insurance market and that new entrants play an important role in increasing consumer choice and raising standards.
“By nearly doubling its office space and continuing to grow its team, OUTsurance is also investing in the skills and talent that underpin Ireland’s success as an international insurance centre,” he added.
“I wish Peter Broome and the entire OUTsurance team continued success as they grow their business in Ireland.”
Broome, CEO of OUTsurance Ireland, said the expansion reflected growing demand for its car and home insurance offerings.
“We set out to make insurance more straightforward and more rewarding for Irish consumers, and the response from the outset has been strong,” he said.

“Growing our office and building out our training facilities helps us meet that demand, enabling us to continue hiring to maintain the level of service that has defined our entry into the market.”
OUTsurance launched in Ireland two years ago and earlier this year agreed to sponsor The Oliver Callan Show on RTÉ Radio 1.
