Global professional services firm Marsh has officially opened a new Ireland head office in Dublin as it brings its Mercer business under the Marsh brand.
The new office at The Frame, 74 Baggot Street Lower, was formally opened by Marsh President and CEO John Doyle and Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation Jack Chambers TD.
The move comes as Mercer transitions to the Marsh brand, bringing the businesses together under a single identity.
Marsh has operated in Ireland for almost 60 years and now employs more than 1,000 people across offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway. Its Irish operations work with public sector bodies, multinational companies, large domestic businesses, SMEs and individual clients.
The company provides services spanning risk management, insurance broking, reinsurance, employee health and benefits, investment and retirement advice, workforce strategy and management consulting.
The new Dublin headquarters will bring together staff from across Marsh’s businesses and will also act as a hub for its global investments and retirement operations.
It will support the continued expansion of Marsh’s innovation centre, a technology and data hub which has developed AI solutions including the company’s proprietary Len suite of colleague tools.
Doyle said Ireland was an “important market” for Marsh and that the investment reflected its confidence in the country’s growth prospects.
“Our new Dublin head office gives us a strong platform to deepen our presence in Ireland and support clients locally and internationally,” he said.
Minister Chambers said Marsh had made a “significant contribution to Ireland’s economy and business community” over many years.
He added that the new office brought together “innovation, sustainability, and wellbeing” in a way that would benefit employees, clients and the wider community.
John Mercer, CEO of Marsh Ireland, said the expanded brand would make it easier for clients to access the group’s expertise and services.
“Together with our new Dublin head office, it creates an exciting platform for our colleagues to collaborate more closely, strengthen our business and deliver even greater value for clients across Ireland,” he said.
The office has been designed around collaboration, flexible working and employee wellbeing, and has been recognised for its sustainability, health and design standards.
