Hailey Bieber just marked the new season with her darkest hair yet. The Rhode founder, who has never shied away from experimenting with temporary beauty makeovers—who could forget the icy-blonde wig she tried out last March?—just debuted a more permanent color change. And it’s a moody, rich dark-chocolate brown.

Yesterday, Bieber’s hair stylist, Irinel de León, shared a photo of her client’s new look on Instagram. In the snapshot, she was captured looking straight ahead, her freshly-dyed deep-brown hair falling effortlessly past her shoulders.

The refresh was a team effort, according to de León. While she herself managed the cut and style, hair “extensionist” Priscilla Valles added length and volume, and Matt Rez took the reins on the color front. And to complete the look, makeup artist Mary Phillips brought out the brown tones with bronzed eyeshadow and pink cheeks (courtesy of the Rhode Pocket Blush in shade Piggy).

While the transformation might seem like a big one, it does feel like a natural progression for Bieber. Prior to the 2024 birth of her son, Jack Blues, she had been slowly but surely taking her hair from dirty blonde to light brown, landing at the soft chocolate shade we’ve grown to expect from her. In April of 2025, however, she announced she’d be putting a pause on any drastic beauty overhauls for the first year of motherhood—making a pact with a fellow new mom on TikTok.

Speaking to the camera, the creator told her followers that she was inspired by Bieber’s haircut, but was nervous it wouldn’t suit her. “You would look stunning,” the star replied, “but let’s hold hands and agree to not make any big hair decisions post partum! Personally giving myself at least a year!”

Now, with baby Jack firmly two years old, it’s back to the salon for Bieber!
