It’s been a month since the Sussexes packed their bags and relocated to the United Kingdom, and Prince Harry has been particularly busy since the move. The royal, who had not lived in his home country since 2020, seems to be making up for lost time, diving into philanthropic work and appearing at more than one black-tie function in the past several weeks. But now, with the family firmly settled into life in England, he took his first trip back to the United States—showing up in New York City today to speak at the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting.

While Harry made his way to the Hilton hotel in Midtown for the conference, his wife, Duchess Meghan, appeared to stay home. Neither provided an explanation for her absence, but it did not come as a big surprise given that the couple’s two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are in the early weeks of their school year in England.

The Clinton Global Initiative event took place during the official United Nations General Assembly week and was run by its founder, former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Alongside fellow global leaders, Harry was welcomed on stage, where he discussed his work at the Parents’ Network, an Archewell Productions organization founded in 2024 to support the parents of children who took their own lives after “being engulfed by social media.”

“The network was designed to turn pain into purpose, to make sure no parent felt alone in their grief or their search for answers,” the prince shared, while also speaking on the dangers of social media. “Parents from across the world join together to advocate for stronger laws, rules, and justice.”
