Irish renewable energy asset management company EnergyPro is to host a forum in London examining the future of battery energy storage projects across Ireland and the UK.

The 2026 Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Industry Forum, held jointly with business law firm Fieldfisher, will take place at Riverbank House in London on Monday, 12 October.

The event will focus on developing sustainable “Ready and Needed” BESS projects, with discussions covering the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

EnergyPro said changes to energy grid infrastructure and requirements around securing land and aligning projects with grid capacity targets mean developers increasingly need to ensure projects are strategically positioned to secure a place in the grid connection queue.

The forum will also serve as the official pre-summit networking event for the Battery Asset Management Summit UK & Ireland, which takes place the following day at the Leonardo Royal Hotel St Paul’s.

Speakers will include Adam Terry of Harmattan Renewables, Davide Cabrini of Opoura/Novogrid and Jonny Riggall of Blue Dot Energy & Environment.

Ronan O’Meara, managing director of EnergyPro, said the company was “delighted to partner with Fieldfisher” for the forum.

“The battery storage industry has been through a lot of change over the past year, not least because of the recent grid reform,” he said.
