Burrito chain Boojum has announced a €600,000 investment to open its 10th restaurant in Dublin.
The Mexican fast casual dining company will this week open a new location at Swords Pavilions Shopping Centre, creating 25 new jobs.
Occupying a prime 1,700 sq ft ground-floor unit, the 90-cover restaurant will provide full sit-in dining, takeaway, click and collect, and delivery operations.
The opening is seeking to grow through openings in prime suburban retail hubs following its acquisition by the Zizi owner Azzurri Group.
“As one of Ireland’s top ten urban centres and a key commercial hub, Swords has been a priority target on our roadmap for a long time. We’ve tracked huge local appetite for Boojum across North Dublin, so establishing a footprint here was the natural next move.”
“This €600,000 investment and the 25 new jobs it creates underline our continued commitment to expanding our Irish presence,” said David Maxwell, CEO of Boojum.
“Swords Pavilions ticks every box for us, offering strong retail footfall, a substantial catchment, and close proximity to the Dublin Airport employment corridor.
“Reaching 10 restaurants in County Dublin is a major milestone, and we remain as ambitious as ever about our growth pipeline.”
Ian Collins, centre director at Swords Pavilions, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Boojum to Pavilions Shopping Centre at Swords.

“The restaurant is an exciting addition to our offering of over 110 shops, restaurants and leisure facilities as we continue to attract the best of national and international brands to North Dublin.
“The investment and new jobs it brings are hugely positive news for the centre and the wider Swords area, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the Boojum team and its many loyal customers when the doors open on 22 October.”
