Company overview

Klicc MultiMedia is a media company based in Chicago with roots in St. Louis. We provide production, post-production, graphic and web design, and social media support across hospitality, architecture, interiors, real estate, marine, and lifestyle brands. Our model is built around lasting partnerships. We learn each business, its people, and its creative direction so we can operate as an extension of its team and create continuity across its media. That familiarity also helps us plan ahead with clients, so each project contributes to a broader story about their business.

My motivation for entrepreneurship

I started creating YouTube videos in 2016, long before I thought about owning a company. Over time, I became just as interested in building something of my own as I was in creating the content itself. Entrepreneurship gave me a way to bring those interests together. I founded Klicc on May 27, 2021, at 17, with the intention of turning a creative passion into something that could grow beyond me. I wanted the responsibility of shaping both the creative work and the way people experienced working with the company.

Why I chose media

Media had already become a major part of my life. I made more than 500 YouTube videos and later built TikTok accounts with a combined following of over 400,000. As I began creating for businesses, I realized how much I enjoyed understanding the people behind a brand and helping them communicate what they were building. That relationship between creativity and human connection is what made this business feel right. That curiosity now guides the industries we pursue, because understanding the subject makes the creative work more meaningful.

What prepared me

Years of creating taught me to experiment, pay attention to an audience, and keep improving. Creating social content for Waterway Car Wash helped me apply that experience to a business. I also owe a great deal to Don Goble, my high school broadcast technology teacher. Across eight semesters, he gave me the space to immerse myself in the work that would become Klicc. His belief in me was a major pillar of those early years. He helped me see that my creative interests deserved commitment and gave me room to develop that belief through practice.

An achievement that stands out

Producing media for the St. Louis Cardinals’ 2022 Fantasy Camp in Cooperstown was a full-circle experience. I grew up following the Cardinals, and that opportunity led to relationships with people such as Ozzie Smith, Ted Simmons, David Freese, and David Eckstein. Being trusted to document an experience connected to something I had loved since childhood made the progress feel real in a very personal way. It also showed me how years of creating independently could lead to opportunities with real responsibility and lasting relationships.

The most rewarding part

The relationships are the most rewarding part. When a client sees us as a lasting partner and brings us into the next chapter of their business, that means more to me than a single successful project. I want people to feel that we care about what they are building. Hearing clients describe Klicc as a lifelong partner is one of the strongest endorsements I could ask for. That trust develops through the small things, including listening carefully, communicating clearly, and following through when it matters.

The challenges I have faced

My biggest challenge has been learning how to grow without compromising the attention each partnership deserves. At one point, that meant reducing our client roster and being more deliberate about capacity, responsibilities, and communication. It required stepping back and being honest about what the business could support. That experience taught me that sustainable growth takes discipline and that the number of projects alone does not tell you whether the business is moving forward. Taking that step created room to rebuild more intentionally, with a clearer understanding of what each commitment requires from us.

What I would approach differently

I would put more structure around the business earlier, especially how work is delegated, capacity is managed, and expectations are communicated. When you care deeply about what you do, it is easy to keep taking responsibility for everything yourself. I have learned that building a team and clear processes is part of protecting the experience clients trust you to provide. Clear ownership gives people room to contribute and allows me to give the creative work more attention.

Getting started in this industry

Start creating with the resources you have and learn how to finish work consistently. Build a portfolio around the businesses and environments that interest you, then spend time understanding what those businesses actually need. Technical ability matters, but so do communication, reliability, and follow-through. Early opportunities become much more valuable when you treat them as the beginning of a relationship. Learn the business side alongside the craft, especially setting expectations and making the working experience straightforward for clients.

Advice for future founders

Build yourself with the same intention you bring to your business. Klicc is an extension of who I am, so my environment, habits, relationships, and standards directly influence it. Put yourself around people and in places that reflect the level you want to reach. Keep learning, take action, and honor your commitments. Your reputation grows through the experiences people have with you, and that is something you build every day. For me, choosing my environment deliberately has helped turn those ambitions into standards I can practice in daily life.
