EY Ireland has launched a new multidisciplinary team of more than 350 professionals to help businesses and public bodies improve customer experiences, develop new products and services, and drive growth through technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

EY Studio+ brings together specialists in strategy, design, marketing, sales, customer service, technology, data and AI, combining their expertise in a single team focused on helping organisations move from business strategy to implementation.

The Irish team is connected to EY Studio+ operations internationally, giving clients access to a global network of 7,000 professionals, alongside sector expertise and the wider EY ecosystem.

The launch comes as businesses face growing pressure to improve productivity, manage costs and respond to changing customer expectations, with AI increasingly viewed as an opportunity to transform how organisations operate and engage with customers.

EY Studio+ will work with clients on areas including the development of new products and services, redesigning customer journeys, using data and AI to personalise interactions, and transforming marketing, sales and customer service operations.

Announcing the launch, Minister of State for Public Procurement, Digitalisation and eGovernment Frank Feighan said digital transformation presented an enormous opportunity to improve interactions with businesses and public services.

“Our ambition is to ensure that innovation translates into tangible benefits for citizens, through services that are more accessible, efficient and responsive to their needs,” he said.

Cillian Leonowicz, partner and Customer & Growth Solution Suite lead at EY Ireland, said the new team would focus on turning strategies and technological developments into measurable business outcomes.

“Many organisations are experimenting with AI, but too many pilots never make it into everyday use to deliver quantifiable benefits for customers and the underpinning operations teams,” he said.

“Getting real value means getting the fundamentals right, starting with data, and measuring the return of the initiatives and interventions.”

Leonowicz said EY Studio+ combined end-to-end capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset, drawing on the firm’s experience working with businesses through its EY Entrepreneur Of The Year programme.

Richard Hepworth, EY Ireland Consulting partner, Studio+, said successful transformation had to begin with people rather than technology alone.

“Lasting value comes from combining it with a real understanding of what customers and employees need, strong design, good use of data and effective delivery,” he said.

Siofra Moriarty, EY Ireland Business Consulting partner, said the team would help organisations bring products, services and experiences to customers more quickly, while ensuring transformation took place within a governed and controlled environment.

EY Studio+ will focus on three main areas: customer experience, product and service innovation, and the transformation of marketing, sales and customer service operations.
