Kane Brown has been leaving his unique mark on the country music genre for years now, known for hits like “Backseat Driver,” “One Thing Right,” “Famous Friends” and more, and while he’s collaborated with some of the biggest names in country music, perhaps his most beloved music partner is his wife, Katelyn Jae Brown. Katelyn is no stranger to the music world—before sparks flew between her and her husband, she was a musician herself, even studying music business for a period of time in college before she started pursuing a career as an artist. Kane and Katelyn met in 2016, but they were actually meant to link up the year prior, when Kane was supposed to appear in one of her music videos.

Though his touring schedule didn’t allow him to do so, the universe works in mysterious ways, and a year later, the two connected at one of his shows. ”We met. We didn’t talk at all. I maybe said ‘Hey’ to her—but I thought she was adorable, looking at her all night,” he said in an interview with Audacy Music. “So then I asked her to come to Nashville like the next day. I flew her down and we just, we hit it off and she never left.”

In 2018, this couple tied the knot, and the life they continue to build with one another each day is a beautiful one. The couple has a few tips when it comes to keeping their marriage healthy, but for Katelyn, a lot of it boils down to communication. “I tell him how I’m feeling no matter how much it might be difficult for him to hear, or maybe he doesn’t want to hear,” she shared on the Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe podcast. “I am so open and honest with him, and I don’t wait,” she shared, further explaining that if her husband did something to upset her, she’ll open up about it in the moment rather than let it fester and build into resentment.

Kane and Katelyn’s three children: Kingsley, Kodi and Krewe

The musical pair have welcomed three children over the years: Kingsley, Kodi and Krewe. When they welcomed their first baby back in 2019, Kane detailed how fatherhood had changed him. “I know when I get home and I’m exhausted, just holding her makes my day completely better,” he told People. “I have learned to be patient, and I’ve also learned that there’s true love. And if anybody ever got between me and my daughter, I don’t know what would go on.”

Since getting together, the country music superstar has teamed up with his wife several times to collaborate on songs off his albums, and the two have even shared the stage together here and there. Hits like “Thank God” combine their two voices expertly, and we love seeing this adorable husband-wife duo working side-by-side. “My fans have been waiting five years for us to sing together… There [were] actually four [other songs] that we had,” Brown told Apple Music’s Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen, per People. “I was like, ‘Babe, you’re going to be on this one, or this one or this one.’ And then ‘Thank God’ came in and I was like, ‘This is the one.’ And she said the same thing, but I’m so glad I waited for this particular one to come out.”

We love this talented country couple!
