If you’ve followed the Chrisley family since their Chrisley Knows Best days, then you’ve likely grown familiar with their son, Chase. Always one to push his parents’, Todd and Julie’s, buttons, the now-29-year-old has had a rocky couple of years since his mom and dad’s 2023 imprisonment, but now, in the wake of their release, Chase is looking to get more serious—specifically, with his girlfriend of two years, Jodi Laine Fournerat.

Over the last few weeks on their new series The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, fans have gotten an up-close look at what life has been like for this crew both before and after Todd and Julie came home from prison, pardoned by President Trump after their daughter, Savannah, advocated for their release. A major plot point in the show revolves around Chase and his interest in taking the next step in his relationship with Jodi, much to his family’s dismay. Despite their apprehension, it seems as though the love Chase has for his girlfriend is unwavering, and here, we take a look at their relationship.

How did Chase Chrisley meet Jodi?

Chase and Jodi first met through mutual friends, and a typical Instagram profile stalk between the two led to them linking up. Their relationship came to fruition shortly after Chase and his former fiancĆ©e, Emmy Medders, called it quits, and in the early days of his and Jodi’s relationship, they were doing long distance, her living in Louisiana. Before Jodi moved to Nashville to be closer to her beau, she was working as a travel surgical technologist. Since moving to Nashville, she’s set her career aside and has instead begun lending a hand as Chase builds his own career, the television personality recently launching his own brand of seltzer.

ā€œMy background is in the medical field, which is what I did previously to moving here. The role’s kind of changed because Chase is in this film world, and he’s always traveling and moving. So I’ve pretty much been behind the scenes of it all, and helping him with his businesses,ā€ she explained to People, with Chase noting that he has ā€œnever been with a woman that has the work ethic that she has.ā€

Who is Jodi Laine Fournerat?

Aside from lending Chase a hand with his own business ventures, Jodi has dipped her toes in the world of social media influencing. She often shares glimpses of her life to her Instagram account, and is sure to share the love she has for her boyfriend of two years to her profile. ā€œHappy birthday to the man who makes me feel like the luckiest woman on earth!,ā€ she wrote back in June on Chase’s big day. ā€œToday, we celebrate you and all the wonderful things that make you so special! May this new year bring you closer to your dreams and deepen the love we share. I love you beyond words, Chase Madison.ā€

Why the Chrisley family is wary of Chase’s relationship

Over the last few weeks, we’ve gotten an up close look at what’s gone on behind closed doors for the Chrisley family on The Chrisleys: Back to Reality. On an episode that aired earlier this month, Chase revealed to his mom that he had intended to marry Jodi—and Julie wasn’t exactly thrilled. ā€œJust because I am in prison does not mean that my job as a mother stops. Yes, it is very much limited as to what I can do, but I am still at my core, a mother to the children, and, you know, when he told me that he wanted to marry Jodi, I was not thrilled,ā€ Julie said in the episode. ā€œI can’t be on board with my son marrying someone that I don’t even know.ā€ Todd expressed a similar sentiment in a later episode, sharing that he hadn’t really gotten a chance yet to know Jodi.

Chase’s sister, Savannah, also didn’t hold back when she learned of Chase’s intentions to marry Jodi. During another episode of the series, Savannah had said she would object to Chase and Jodi’s wedding. ā€œHe doesn’t even have his life together. He lives with his grandparents. So, you’re supposed to get married and live with your grandparents? It’s the dumbest s— I’ve ever heard.ā€

At the end of the show’s season finale, Chase and his sister worked through some of the tension and animosity between them, and as his and Jodi’s relationship continues to grow, he’ll hopefully have the support of his family down the road.
