Last night, Rosé brought a new side of herself to Central Park’s Great Lawn. Days after a surprise announcement, the Blackpink artist and soloist took the Global Citizen Festival stage as a special guest, treating fans to an acoustic set that featured not one, but two covers alongside her own hits. She opened with “APT.,” her chart-topping single with Bruno Mars, and “two years,” another hit from her debut album, Rosie, before transitioning into a rendition of the Cranberries’ emotional “Linger.” For her closing number, she worked Oasis’ “Wonderwall” into her ballad “toxic till the end” in an emotional medley that captured the crowd.

For the special evening, the pop princess graced the stage in a baby pink gown fit for a queen. In fact, that’s just where the inspiration came from. The Aknvas look, pulled from the label’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, reflected the season’s overarching story of youthful rebellion as it related to historical regality. Diving into the stories of Danish princesses who were married off for the sake of their country, designer Christian Juul Nielsen took traditional fabrications, silhouettes, and details, and reworked them into contemporary looks, each with a slight edge.

On Rosé, the dress looked like it was made for her. From the structured strapless neckline, yards and yards of fabric billowed down to a drop waist tie, from which it then cascaded in gathers down to her ankles. Pinned up with bows, it mirrored the look of a runaway princess, holding up her petticoats to aid her mission of mobility.
