Isn’t it funny how some places just keep getting better, even when you thought they’d reached perfection? The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, long a radiant gem in the Hilton Honors crown, is about to unveil its crowning glory—a multiyear renovation culminating in a “grand reveal” come October 1. Imagine all 112 rooms, suites, villas, and casitas freshly outfitted with calming lighting and sparkling new decor, crafted thoughtfully to blend modern luxury with rich Mexican artistry. Paul Duesing, the property’s original designer, has been on a mission to bring even more soul to these spaces, weaving in tactile elements like a handcrafted metal sea turtle shell from Jalisco that hangs majestically above the beds. This isn’t just a facelift; it’s a reawakening—a tranquil sanctuary that promises to elevate every guest’s stay, from an artisan beverage bar nestled in-room to a spa reborn as a serene oasis. Now, the big question: are you ready to experience paradise, reinvented? LEARN MORE

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, a jewel of the Hilton Honors program, is unveiling the final pieces of a multiyear renovation ahead of a “grand reveal” on Oct. 1.

The newest updates to the property include a redesign of all 112 rooms, suites, villas and casitas across the property. These changes encompass new “soothing” lighting and fresh decor, enhancing the comfort and functionality of the rooms, according to a statement from Hilton.

Paul Duesing, the resort’s original designer, improved the room design by merging modern touches with cultural Mexican elements like art and furniture crafted by artists from across Mexico. This includes a metal sea turtle shell above beds made by Preciado Iluminacion from Jalisco.

The accommodations will also highlight this popular Waldorf’s artisanal beverage program through new in-room bars. The overall vibe will shift to lighter color tones throughout the rooms contrasted by darker hues.

Outside the guest rooms and suites, visitors will see plenty of other new changes, including at the Waldorf Astoria Spa, where the salon has been reimagined as a “tranquil sanctuary for rejuvenation and pampering.”

The adult pool area has a fresh, new look as well.

And the now-enchanced restaurant, The Beach Club, is set to offer new culinary experiences and activations.

“The reimagination of Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal was guided by a deep respect for its storied legacy and the rich cultural heritage of Mexico to ensure a singularly authentic luxury experience,” Maria Valeria Nowotny, a Hilton vice president of operations for Caribbean, Mexico and Central America, said in the statement.

Over the multiyear transformation, the resort has made plenty of other additions and transformations. There’s the Agave Study at Peacock Alley, the Waldorf Astoria brand’s signature bar; the addition of Travesia and its nine-course taco tasting menu; and a new bespoke coffee shop, Neutral Coffee Lab.

Long a favored property for Hilton Honors loyalists, TPG’s last review of the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal called it “a perfect piece of paradise.” Unfortunately, though, that piece of paradise got a lot more expensive this summer, at least for points bookings. In September, a sudden Hilton Honors devaluation — the second over the course of a year — saw points pricing for a night at the resort skyrocket up to 250,000 points per night.

Despite the price, we can’t deny that, even before these impressive upgrades, this Waldorf Astoria is a bucket-list property that often lands at the top of must-visit lists.
