Earlier this month, The Devil Wears Prada 2 took its filming from New York to Milan, and with it, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and a handful of (confirmed and unconfirmed) guest stars made their way to the Italian fashion capital. Seen depicting their iconic characters on the cobblestone streets—and, for Streep and Stanley Tucci, at the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2026 runway show—the actors have been busily working towards the film’s May 1 release date.
In new photos of Streep, the Academy Award-winning actress was captured leaving Il Salumaio di Montenapoleone, a restaurant in the city. Attempting to stay undercover, she stepped out in thick black shades—à la Miranda Priestly—and a matching bucket hat, using her phone as a shield. Her bright red jacket, however, did not quite camouflage her. Designed with a long, straight-line silhouette, the bold plissé blazer was styled open, revealing a white floral blouse tucked into black trousers. On her arm, she carried a black bag, also left open.
The Devil Wears Prada 2, a sequel to the 2006 classic, was directed by David Frankel and based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns. In addition to the returning cast, the team has confirmed that Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak, and Pauline Chalamet have joined the project. Sydney Sweeney was also reportedly spotted on set with Blunt in August, Lady Gaga was seen in Milan just days ago, and Naomi Campbell sat next to Streep and Tucci at D&G in what might have been a scene. But only time will tell.
