Pat O’Leary and Des Annett have been appointed as directors to the board of Tourism Ireland, the organisation responsible for marketing Ireland as a holiday destination overseas.

O’Leary is chair of the Kerry Tourism Industry Federation and former managing director of Liebherr Container Cranes while Annett is financial controller at tours operator CIE Tours International and a former president of the Incoming Tour Operators Association (ITOA).

The appointments of O’Leary and Annett were approved at an institutional meeting of the North South Ministerial Council on Friday following their nomination by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke.

Ruth Andrews and Stephen McNally have also been reappointed to the board for a further term.

“I am delighted to welcome two new appointees Pat O’Leary and Des Annett to the Board of the Tourism Ireland and I warmly congratulate them on their appointments,” said Burke.
