When it comes to finding the best vintage fashion, an It girl’s work is never done.
This past weekend, Bella Hadid jetted off to Italy to not only take part in Milan Fashion Week (where she walked in the Prada show four different times, mind you) and to promote her new Miss Sixty collaboration, but also to host a series of events celebrating the launch of her fragrance line, Orebella, across Douglas stores in Europe.
Hadid commemorated the launch by stepping out in a variety of vintage looks, all stemming from the ’90s and all characterized by their soft pastel hues, indicating she’s clearly ready for the transition to spring fashion.
With the help of her stylist, Mimi Cuttrell, Hadid’s first standout ensemble consisted of a cream suit set, sourced by Raffe Vintage and pulled from the Spring/Summer 1995 Gianni Versace collection.
Her cropped button-up blouse featured large buttons and lapels with soft edges, and it was paired with a matching skirt with pleated vents. Hadid also sported a black headband and shades, while slipping into a set of leopard-print, pony-hair heels from Manolo Blahnik and carrying a small cream Devain shoulder bag from Valentino in a black polka-dot print.
Later in the day, she switched into another vintage design also sourced by Raffe, this time from the Spring/Summer 1998 Christian Dior collection by John Galliano.
The aqua dress featured a subtle floral jacquard, with a folded-over, cowl neckline, as well as a spiraling scalloped cutout along the skirt, which was outlined with stripes of dark fringe. Hadid paired the dress with ivory slingback sandal heels, once again from Manolo Blahnik, as well as silver diamond earrings from Chopard.
But she wasn’t finished yet. For a final splash, Hadid and Cuttrell pulled a vintage ’90s jacket from Mugler, which came in a soft lilac and featured contrasting cream lapels and cuffs, while the middle was cinched with an attached belt detail including a gold statement buckle in the center.
Hadid wore a maxi pencil skirt to match, while accessorizing with drop earrings strung with gold orbs, as well as a pair of python-skin Manolos with mesh cutouts along the vamps.
With looks like these, it’s fair to say that Hadid should launch Orebella in new stores more often.
