Irish events company Davis Experience and Events has announced the acquisition of Whitelight Events and expects to add 10 jobs over the next two years as a result.
The deal is Davis Experience and Events’ first-ever acquisition, and both companies will expand their client services and offerings as part of Davis’ ambitious growth plans.
Davis works with global brands and corporate clients in the US, Europe and Canada to put on hundreds of internal events each year, and the company has worked on high-profile occasions such as Culture Night and Ireland’s New Year’s Festivals.
The firm employs 21 full-time staff and recorded turnover of €5m last year.
Whitelight Events was founded in 2012 by Con O’Donoghue and Karen Devine.
The company is renowned for its meticulous planning and seamless event delivery across a wide portfolio of clients, including the National Lottery, Fingal County Council, Local Enterprise Offices, the Department of Children, Disability and Equality, and Research Ireland.
“Con and Karen have done an incredible job building Whitelight Events from the ground up,” said Paul Davis, founder and CEO of Davis Experience and Events.
“I have witnessed first-hand the outstanding results they deliver and the reputation they have earned across the industry.
“Bringing Whitelight Events into the Davis group allows us to expand our client offering across all operations and further develop our exciting and ambitious plans for the future.
“I’m delighted to welcome them and their wonderful clients into the group.”
Con O’Donoghue, managing director of Whitelight Events, said he is looking forward to the next phase of the company’s journey.
“We’ve known Paul and the Davis team for many years and have great respect for both his approach and what he has built. Paul’s vision and leadership are widely recognised within the industry, and we’re confident that joining the Davis group will support Whitelight’s continued growth while maintaining the first-class service our clients have always enjoyed.”
As part of the process, Nikki Tunney has joined Whitelight Events as business director, and she said clients can be assured of a smooth transition.

“It’s been great meeting Whitelight clients over recent weeks and building new relationships. We are fully committed to delivering the high standards they are accustomed to and are genuinely excited about the new opportunities this brings.”
As part of the acquisition, Whitelight Events will relocate its headquarters to the Davis Experience and Events offices at Redmond’s Hill in Dublin city centre.
