Do you know what “DTF”* stands for? If you do, then you know what kind of show you’re in for with DTF St. Louis. Created by Steven Conrad (director of The Pursuit of Happyness) and originally based on a 2017 true crime article published by The New Yorker, DTF St. Louis is a droll dramedy where middle-aged malaise ends up in a very dark place: someone’s murder.

Coming to HBO on March 1, DTF St. Louis stars Jason Bateman and David Harbour as coworkers frustrated by their unfulfilling sex lives in the Missouri suburbs. When they dip their toes into the dangerous waters of hookup apps, things escalate when an accusation of infidelity results in a dead body. The case beckons two very different detectives, played by Joy Sunday and Richard Jenkins, who work together to figure out just what the heck happened—and who’s behind it all.

DTF St. Louis is the new must-see limited series of the season that you don’t want to miss. But realistically, you probably have your own busy life and don’t want to forget when to plop down on the couch for another dosage of tragicomic goodness.
