Lena Dunham’s new Netflix series Too Much is not only a vehicle for great comedy and romance, but also great fashion, which is evidenced by the stylish roster of stars who round out the cast.
Cue Emily Ratajkowski, who was seen promoting the show with a series of engagements in New York this morning, where she managed to fit in three outfit changes before most of us had grabbed our second cup of coffee.
For her fashion hat trick, the actor, model, and book club founder demonstrated how she flips between businesswear and cozy casual with ease, all with the help of her stylist, Danielle Goldberg.
The day began with a trip to CBS Studio, where EmRata sported a sleek white suit from Calvin Klein, which was contrasted by a set of tortoiseshell buttons dotting the center. In order not to take away from the look, the My Body author accessorized with a pair of black sandal heels in patent leather, and statement sunglasses from Thistles—nothing else.
As she was spotted in Midtown later that day, Ratajkowski appeared to be wearing the same shoes and sunglasses, however she swapped her office-ready fit for another chic set. This time, the model wore a black, scoop-neck top with a split hem from Emily Dawn Long, which she paired with legging capris from Norma Kamali’s collection for Revolve. Just like before, it was the buttons that brought the pizzazz, as the single-breasted top was fastened with a row of gemstone-like studs in red, blue, and green.
Because these outfits were evidence enough that EmRata knows how to dress up, the Too Much star decided to show off her casual side for her third and final fit, which centered around a blue-and-white baseball shirt from Bode. The piece was embroidered with the phrase “I’m a speed skater” on the front and “Serving liquor to all of New England” on the back, and as the brand notes, the design was inspired by waitstaff shirts from the 1970s.
Ratajkowski knows how to let pieces transform an outfit, and because the Bode top was the star of the show, she paired it with the same black capris, Thistles sunglasses, and strappy sandals from earlier. Now that’s how you show off a capsule wardrobe.
