SWAGGER: Your comedy has resonated with millions online and on stage. Was there a moment you realized your voice was truly breaking through?

I think Radio City Music Hall, opening up for Jake Shane was a big moment here in New York. At 6,000 people, that was my biggest show. It was hard to place that feeling, but I think that’s probably a breakthrough moment, because everything else just feels like I’m in my living room with my friends now compared to that.

SWAGGER: Fibs and Friends has sold over a 100 shows. What’s been the biggest surprise or lesson from your first tour?

I was shocked when we sold out shows in London and Dublin. That was crazy. Learning that Irish people think I’m funny, that was cool, because I don’t think they think many people are funny.

In terms of comedy, I’ve also kind of figured out that people just need the laughs right now, so they’re excited to be there. It’s not as much a performance as it is a conversation, so that’s been fun.

SWAGGER: So when you said “laughs right now” is there any particular reason for why “now”?

Everybody just says that. So I started to say it.

SWAGGER: I thought it might have been about something going on in the world…

I mean, there’s always a ton going on, and I’ve lost track. I think we’re in at least one war. People always need laughs. It’s a lot of people’s first time they’ve been to a comedy show. Which is nice, because the bar is very low for them, so I can just go in. There’s some knock-knock jokes I can tell, and walk out, and they’re happy.

SWAGGER: There are no good knock-knock jokes.

There are no good knock-knock jokes. I have not heard one. Yet.

But people are like “Oh, this is what a comedy show’s about. I’m going to go to more.”

SWAGGER: You’ve performed alongside Tiffany Haddish and Bill Burr. What did you learn from sharing the stage with them?

They were both so nice. And I was like, almost suspicious. I was like, is there a camera in here? This is a PR stunt? To make you guys look good? They’re brilliant people.  Bill Burr asked me if one of his jokes was funny. He was working on it. So I said “Yeah, that joke is funny, but also you’re Bill Burr.” And Tiffany – it means you can keep a level head and still be so great. They’re awesome, and they’re just so funny.

SWAGGER: Were you funny in school?

Yeah, I was. I got a lot of notes home.  Well, I was put in the gifted and talented program, which I realized halfway through, was just unmedicated, ADHD class. I could not stop talking. I was like, this is so cool. We are like little Einsteins. It was actually, we were distractions, so we were put in our own little, very loud class. This is a padded room. I got class clown in high school.

SWAGGER: I wanted to ask you if you ever saw yourself on TV doing a show? And what might that series look like?

Absolutely, it’s definitely on my vision board. And something working towards manifesting. I have not gotten any callbacks on my auditions, so it’s not in the works so much as it’s moving in my mind. But because I look 14, I’ll probably end up playing someone in high school or like college, well into my thirties.

SWAGGER: Like a class clown?

The non-medicated ADHD kid, loud, probably wearing no deodorant… it’s Hollywood baby.

SWAGGER: Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast has exploded in popularity. What makes your dynamic with Brooke, so magnetic?

We’re cut from the same cloth, but we have nothing in common. And so when we have conversations, it’s almost like I’m learning. She reads, she’s intellectual, and I’m more social, out all the time.

She’s kind of more introverted, really well spoken. And so, we just have a good balance. We’re just nothing alike at all. We didn’t grow up similarly. It’s bizarre that it works.

SWAGGER: Were there other goals on your vision board that fans haven’t heard about yet?

It’s the end of this two year tour that I’ve been doing. So my goal is to go to a beach. And I can share that fans do not know that. But that is my goal for 2026, to go to the beach.

SWAGGER: That’s a fine goal. How far is the beach from you now?

I can go to an East Coast, New York beach, but it’s not Bali.

SWAGGER: Right, I guess Coney Island isn’t exactly Bali. I get it.

Not quite. But Bali doesn’t have corn dogs, so…

SWAGGER: Or batting cages, or go carts, or stinky piers…

Or Italians.

SWAGGER: What do you do in your down time, when you’re on tour?

We usually go on a hike. We go to a lot of museums, myself and the other comics. We went to the zoo. It made me really depressed. Why is there a tiger in Cleveland? Why is there a gorilla in Omaha, right?

SWAGGER: Cuz it’s where all the best bananas are.

Yeah, right. I was just in Vancouver. Had such a great time. I got like 20,000 steps, went to the beach, swam, it was awesome. I did the seaplane. I thought I was gonna die. I sat in the cockpit. That was really scary, but it was fun.

SWAGGER: Anything you’d like to leave our readers?

I’m flattered to be in SWAGGER, as a guy wearing a hoodie and a bathing suit, in my apartment.
