Guess is about to turn 45, and it’s celebrating in style. In advance of its milestone birthday next year, the brand—known for its all-American style and iconic ’90s ads filled with supermodels—threw a major event in Morocco, the birthplace of its co-founder and creative director, Paul Marciano, that brought 800 people from over 100 countries to Marrakech. Guests included fashion editors from around the world and an endless list of international talent, including Chiarra Ferragni, Leonie Hanne, Lea Elui, Lauren Wolfe and more.

Organized as a global conference titled One World, One Brand, the event was curated with an eye towards luxury from start to finish. Guests were housed at La Mamounia Hotel, where they found their hotel rooms decorated with lifestyle products from Guess such as pillows, candles, and travel accessories. At an over-the-top runway show held under the stars at the 16th century El Badi Palace, the brand unveiled its spring and pre-fall 2026 collections, along with iconic archive pieces and an exclusive Marciano by Guess capsule collection created especially for Marrakech. The celebrations continued with a standout visit to The White Camel, a luxury camp in the Agafay Desert, which the brand has taken over for the rest of the fall 2025 season.

The trip offered so much creative inspiration, from the locally-crafted pieces in the souks to meals in the heart of the city square in the Medina in Jemaa el-Fnaa. Below, I’ve laid out my ideal packing list for the Moroccon trip of a lifetime, inspired by my recent travels and trends from the Guess Spring 2026 runway show.

La Mamounia is located close to the souk if you have an urge to shop (which I did as soon as I arrived), but you could also spend the whole day getting lost there. The hotel’s property has so much to explore, including over five restaurants, four bars, two tearooms, and a beautiful pool and spa, with shops throughout. Grab a paisley dress and straw bag and you’ll fit right in.

For Dinner Under The Stars in Marrakech

Lean into the neutral tones of the desert and the city’s history of artisanal craftsmanship with a knit crochet dress with warm hues. Or, for a more minimalist approach, try a textured white dress or tailored trousers with a matching vest or softly patterned top. All of these options look best with strappy flat sandals and classic gold jewelry such as a collar necklace and hoop earrings.

Celebrate the vibrant colors of Marrakech with a glamorous pop-of-color dress. Guess’s spring 2026 collections had statement dresses throughout, all styled with beautiful gold accents.
