KORE Insulation, the Cavan-based manufacturer of insulation products, has been awarded Ireland’s first greenhouse gas (GHG) verification.

The company becomes the first Irish firm to receive a positive verification for its 2023 and 2024 GHG inventories from EcoVerify, the Irish-owned and accredited GHG validation and verification body.

The award confirms that KORE’s climate reporting meets internationally recognised standards for accuracy, transparency and accountability.

KORE’s science-aligned Net Zero pathway has also been validated by EcoVerify, marking one of the strongest demonstrations to date of genuine commitment to Ireland’s climate goals and the transition to Net Zero.

Laura Mora, managing director of EcoVerify, said: “We are delighted to award KORE Insulation this verification, a first in Ireland with this level of strictness.

“This achievement highlights KORE’s leadership in climate accountability within the construction sector and reflects the growing demand for credible, independent assurance of greenhouse gas reporting and Net Zero commitments.”

Caroline Ashe Brady, commercial director of KORE Insulation, said: “Sustainability is at the heart of KORE’s business strategy. Achieving Ireland’s first greenhouse gas verification under EcoVerify’s accreditation, this provides strong reassurance to our clients, partners, and regulators that we operate to very high standards of sustainability and are serious about measurable climate action and long-term accountability.”

Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke said: “Many Irish businesses are now demonstrating that sustainability is good for business.

“It’s great to see KORE Insulation achieve this level of climate action reporting, to have it verified by another Irish business, EcoVerify, and accredited to a world-leading standard.

“Government, businesses, and society are all working towards a shared target of net zero emissions, and I’m delighted to see Irish companies like these leading the way.”

KORE Insulation has achieved GHG verification from EcoVerify.

The assessment was carried out under the EcoVerify Greenhouse Gas Programme, in line with ISO 14064-1 and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate and Value Chain Standards, the globally-recognised frameworks for accurate and transparent GHG measurement and reporting.

Accredited by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA), EcoVerify also holds the world’s first accreditation to ISO 14068-1 (Carbon Neutrality) and its Net Zero Pathways Programme, providing independent assurance of organisations’ climate strategies, progress, and claims.
