The Diamond Family Album recently celebrated its first birthday! We’re so excited that pet parents have shared over 2,000 photos of their adorable cats and dogs. To celebrate, we’ve created a yearbook to highlight some fun facts and super cute pics from the Diamond Family Album.
The Who’s Who of the Diamond Family Album
First, let’s take a look at whose pictures are in our family album. Were they dogs or cats? What breed were they? We’ve flipped through the album pages to learn more about the pets of the Diamond Family Album.
The Pack Side of the Family
It’s obvious that dog parents love sharing photos of their pups, with about three quarters of the album photos featuring dogs. From Happy Tails to Outdoor Adventures to Dog Pile, dogs were the stars of many albums. Fun fact: the most common dog names in the Diamond Family Album were Luna, Bella, Chloe and Leo.
It’s not surprising that mixed-breed dogs made frequent appearances in our album — who doesn’t love a mutt?! Other breeds that were featured regularly included Labrador retrievers, German shepherds, Chihuahuas, Australian shepherds and American pit bull terriers. But we also saw photos of less common breeds including Bella the Norwich terrier and Hazel the Tibetan mastiff.

We were excited to see that Remington, an otterhound, is in our family album. Otterhounds are one of the rarest dog breeds in the world. Karen L. mentions that Remington’s favorite game is tug-of-war with his rings. But now that he’s 125 pounds, he always wins! Looks like Remington is all tuckered out from playing tug-of-war in this photo!

The Clowder Side of the Family
If you’re curious about the cats in our family album, they were featured in about one quarter of the photos. The most common cat names were Willow and Oliver. Like dogs, most of the cats were of unknown or mixed breeds, or they were one of the domestic breeds. But we also had some rare breeds featured! Some of the rare cat breeds included Sully the Nebelung, Coco Chanel the Havana brown and Max the Pixiebob.

The New Arrivals
You can’t have a family album without the babies! Those big eyes and tiny paws can’t help but tug at your heartstrings. Look at these adorable sleeping babies.

The Goofballs
What yearbook is complete without an honorable mention to the pets who keep us entertained with their silly antics? Everyone needs a laugh as much as they need a snuggle.

The Kitchen Favorites
The favorite formula of our adult dogs was Diamond Naturals Skin & Coat All Life Stages Dog Salmon & Potato Formula, while puppies enjoyed the Diamond® Puppy Formula. For adult cats, Diamond Maintenance Cat was the favorite, and Diamond Naturals Kitten Chicken & Rice Formula was the kittens’ fav. Everyone has their own favorite, and Henry is certainly making sure his Diamond Naturals All Life Stages Dog Chicken & Rice Formula doesn’t leave his sight (even while napping)!

We hope you have enjoyed seeing all of the Diamond Family Album pictures over the past year as much as we have! Keep posting those adorable pics!
