Hickey joins Wilson Hartnell from fintech firm, Fiserv, where he spent four years as VP EMEA for Communications, focused on driving tangible business results for its diverse payments and financial services businesses across 57 countries.

The company say Hickey brings extensive global financial and corporate communications experience to the Wilson Hartnell team, having led complex communications projects across Ireland, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the US.

In 2015, he established the Dublin office of Sodali, formerly Powerscourt, and successfully led the growth of that business in the Irish market.

Commenting on his appointment, Hickey said: “I am incredibly excited to join Wilson Hartnell, an agency I’ve long admired for its strategic prowess, proven track record and deep expertise and experience across its amazing client roster that includes many of Ireland’s leading domestic and international businesses.

“The opportunity to lead the Corporate and Public Affairs Practice, especially at a time when the need for sophisticated, proactive counsel is paramount, is truly motivating for me.

“We’re seeing a powerful convergence of social, economic, and technological forces that have made reputation one of the most valuable and fragile assets a business owns.

“This makes impactful corporate communications more critical than ever.
