Meghan Drops ’90s Throwback Tease – What’s Really Coming in Season 2 of Her Netflix Show?
Are you as pumped as I am for the second season of With Love, Meghan? Honestly, when Duchess Meghan drops a new lifestyle series, you know it’s going to serve up more than just royal vibes—it’s a whole mood. She’s back on Netflix August 26, and this time, she’s giving us a peek behind the curtain with a cheeky ’90s throwback that had me grinning from ear to ear. Picture this: Meghan, channeling her inner home chef, boiling thin potato slices to make chips from scratch, all while slyly nodding to one of the dopest TV shows of our childhoods—The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Now, who else remembers Will Smith telling a girl she’s “all that and a bag of chips”? Classic! It’s these little nuggets that remind me how even royals can keep it relatable… and dare I say, a bit nostalgic. Ready to dive into all the tea, the references, and yes, the royal cooking skills? Let’s unpack why Meghan’s latest venture isn’t just a show—it’s a vibe for all of us millennial hearts still living in the ’90s flashbacks. LEARN MORE
Are you ready for season two of With Love, Meghan?
Duchess Meghan’s’s lifestyle series is returning to Netflix with its second installment on August 26, and the Duchess of Sussex teased the upcoming episodes with a new video on her Instagram Story.
In it, Meghan appears to be embracing her inner Nara Smith, as she makes potato chips totally from scratch. The video sees the royal boiling thin slices of potato, and over top of it, she left a very vintage ’90s reference.
“New season of ‘With Love, Meghan’ August 26th on @netflix,” the duchess captioned the clip. “Dare I say, ‘It’s all that…. and a bag of chips.’”
Of course, this ’90s slang is closely tied to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which popularized the phrase in 1993, in an episode where Will (Will Smith) goes on a date and says: “I’ve never said this to a girl before, but oh baby, you all that and a bag of chips.”
Taste notes that the phrase seems to have originated with a quote from Fab 5 Freddy on the show Yo! MTV Raps, but regardless of where Meghan first heard it, she was clearly making a wink to all her fellow millennials who came of age in the ’90s.
Previously, we’ve learned that Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, are quite familiar with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
In fact, during an episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden, host Corden actually took Prince Harry to the house where the hit NBC sitcom was filmed, and as they walked up to the abode, the two went back and forth singing lines from the theme song. At one point, they even FaceTimed Meghan and Corden told her that she and Harry should look into buying the house. “You’d be the fresh princess of Bel-Air,” the comedian joked.
As of now, it seems the royals are content with their Montecito life, but that doesn’t mean Meghan can’t make a few Bel-Air references here and there.
