Making her way to Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium to watch the match, the royal-slash-patron of the Rugby Football Union (RFU) showed her support for her home team in more ways than one.

For the occasion, she layered her deep-blue Alexander McQueen coat—a go-to choice for the princess—over a black turtleneck sweater. The outerwear was fashioned with strong, wide shoulders and a thick waistband, and was most recently seen during the German state visit back in December 2025. Before that, Kate wore the piece on Christmas in 2023.

Matching the coat, the princess added a royal-blue England Rugby scarf, featuring white writing, the red rose emblem, and blue fringe. She took the seat next to England’s Fin Baxter, who has been sitting out of the tournament due to a foot injury, and spent the game speaking with him and the RFU’s president, Deborah Griffin. The three appeared to be in lively spirits, despite England’s ultimate 21-42 loss.

This outing marked Kate’s first public appearance since the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the younger brother of King Charles III who was stripped of his titles following his association with Jeffrey Epstein. The former prince was arrested on his birthday (February 19) on suspicion of misconduct in public office, and was released from police custody yesterday, February 20. He remains under investigation.
