This Brooks Brothers Peanuts Drop Is About to Revolutionize Your Wardrobe—Here’s Why You Can’t Afford to Miss It
You ever wonder how a little beagle can storm the fashion world like a champion fighter stepping into the octagon? Snoopy’s been everywhere recently—and trust me, as someone who’s seen trends come and go like waves crashing, not all Peanuts collabs hit the mark. Some feel slapped together like a last-minute workout plan that never sticks. But then you get a knockout—like Parks Project and Cariuma dropping gear that actually sells out fast. Just when I thought the Timex Snoopy watches held the title for best Peanuts mash-up, Brooks Brothers steps into the ring and turns Snoopy into the sharpest preppy icon of fall 2025. Imagine Snoopy rocking a red bowtie and gold-button blazer—that’s not just cute; that’s style mastery. So, are we ready to see Snoopy take his place in the fashion hall of fame? Let’s break down why this capsule collection might just be the real MVP of the season. LEARN MORE
Look, Snoopy has been everywhere as of late. We’ve talked about this in the Esquire offices. I’d run out of space in this story if I listed all the Peanuts collaborations of the past however many years. Peanuts is such a commerce-ready piece of intellectual property that it’s spawned some really dumb clothing collaborations in the past. Every mall brand has tried; most have failed. There are some good ones, though. Parks Project did a collection I like a lot. Our friends at Cariuma did a limited shoe run that sold out.
If you’d asked me 24 hours ago, I’d have said Timex and its collection of Snoopy watches is the only perfect Peanuts collaboration that’s ever happened. Starting today, I have a second answer. There’s another perfect execution of the Peanuts intellectual property. Brooks Brothers made Snoopy preppy and, in my opinion, made the best capsule collection of fall 2025.
I wouldn’t dare call myself the world’s biggest Peanuts fan, but I’m definitely above the 75th percentile. One of my goals on this earth is to actually own a complete set of Sparky Schulz’s Peanuts comics from 1950–2000. (If you’d like to donate to that fund, write a check to the Esquire offices. I promise that’s what I’ll use it for.) The holiday specials are on every time I’m back at my parents’ house. At Christmastime, it’s family tradition to put our 1980s Snoopy ornament on the tree first. I’ve got serious reverence for this beagle. I hate when a brand does a lazy collection with his likeness.
Brooks Brothers treated Snoopy somewhat like Ralph Lauren treats its Polo Bear. (Polo Bear is another favorite of the Esquire shopping desk.) Throughout the capsule collection, Snoopy is dressed up in a classic Brooks Brothers outfit: gold-button blazer and an especially preppy red bowtie. It’s as professional as Snoopy has looked since the Dr. Beagle and Mr. Hyde spin-off. Sure, that’s not the craziest thing that’s been done with Snoopy’s image and likeness, but it’s all you need. It’s the perfect amount of tailoring his look to fit the brand’s. Stick blazered Snoopy on a few high-quality essentials and we’re good to go. That’s what Brooks Brothers did.
I’ve held the entire collection at this point, and my takeaway is that the oxford-cloth button-down is the real star of the show. It’s made in Japan of Supima cotton. It’s got all the high-end preppy appeal of the rest of the Brooks Brothers clothing I love. The felted French-terry hat would make a cute gift. The only thing I feel this collection was crying out for was a tie, but I believe its absence can be attributed to the collection being unisex. A tie would steer us into real masculine territory. Also, there’s no shortage of vintage Snoopy ties out there, so I’m not missing much.
Anyway, man, I don’t know how much more you need to hear. If you’re on the fence or don’t like it, I don’t care about your opinion on clothing. Snoopy on an OCBD is as good as it gets, and the fact that Brooks Brothers put it on a high-end OCBD makes all the difference. If wearing a Snoopy shirt—like drinking through a straw—makes me look like a little boy, I don’t really care. This is the best release of fall 2025, and I don’t think anything is really going to top it.
