Selena Gomez has already had a jam-packed fall, and it’s only October. So far, the multi-hyphenate has debuted her Rare Beauty fragrance, released new seasons of both Only Murders in the Building and Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, and somehow found the time to host her extravagant wedding with Benny Blanco.
She talked through it all with Jennifer Hudson as she visited the EGOT winner’s daytime talk show on Monday. There, Gomez jumped from topic to topic, discussing Martin Short and Steve Martin’s influence on her, all the important milestones where she wore her perfume, and, of course, her three Ralph Lauren wedding dresses.
“I tried to do this sneaky thing, I’m sure you can relate,” Gomez explained to her host as her stunning wedding photos were projected on screen. “But I didn’t want anyone to get photos of my wedding unless it was from me. I keep my life as private as I can.”
She did, however, let viewers in on which look was her favorite, calling her custom, silk-lace ceremony gown a “dream.” Designed with a hand-painted corset and hand-shaped lace flowers, the piece was embellished with crystals, embroidery, and even Gomez and Blanco’s initials.
For this occasion though, Gomez swapped the bridal whites for one of the season’s most popular color trends.
Reminiscent of something her Only Murders in the Building character might pick out, the actor chose a burgundy jumpsuit from Ronny Kobo, which was designed with exaggerated shoulders and sharp lapels for an angular, tailored look.
From the back, the jacket appeared separate from the matching wide-leg trousers, but in the front, it was clear the two pieces were sewn together with a belted waistband in-between.
Meanwhile, Gomez’s pointy Jimmy Choo heels, Khaite leather belt, and nail polish matched perfectly. Then, she finished off her look with pieces from Effy Jewelry and of course, her sparkling engagement ring.
Even with so much going on, Gomez still manages to always dress to the nines.
