AMAZON POSTS NEW deals daily, but there’s one secret section that’s rarely advertised: Amazon Resale. While it’s not hidden, per se, it’s seldom highlighted and flies relatively under the radar. Ever wonder what happens to some of the returns you’ve made over the years? Now you do. Formerly known as Amazon Warehouse, Amazon’s resale section features gently used and open-boxed products at heavily discounted rates.
If you’re looking to save a couple of extra bucks or don’t mind bargain basement shopping for ever-so-slightly used products, this is a great way to get steals on brand-name items. Think of this as an e-commerce version of a garage sale—only each product is thoroughly vetted for quality assurance. You’re not getting that type of service from your next-door neighbor.
Amazon is offering serious savings on dozens of products our readers love and trust. Brands like Sony, Shark, Callaway, and, of course, in-house Amazon brands are offering up to 69 percent off their most popular products. The section is a tad tricky to navigate, so we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite deals for you below.

One more thing to note: On the right-hand side of each listing, ensure the “Save with Used” option is selected. Everything below is available on Amazon Resale—many of which feature additional savings in your cart.
How Does Amazon Resale Work?
Amazon’s hidden deals section, formerly marketed as Amazon Warehouse, uses a 20-point quality-assurance test and categorizes products based on metrics such as functionality, appearance, and packaging condition. This way, you’ll know precisely the type of condition you’re getting your gear in. And don’t let the second-hand nature of some of these products fool you: Many of them are open-box returns or lightly used products refurbished by Amazon. The steep discounts don’t necessarily reflect just how perfect the condition of some of these items is.
Amazon, of course, is also super transparent about the condition of every item after it goes through quality assurance. The following categories thoroughly detail the condition each product is in:
Used – Like New: The item is fully functional and contains all its essential accessories. The packaging may have slight damage, but the item is close to brand new, totally functional, and refurbished.
Used – Very Good: The product is still in great condition and fully functional; it may have seen some gentle use from the packaging. It may have slight cosmetic damage and be missing a few non-essential items, which will be noted in the product listing.
Used – Good: The product has moderate use and shows a bit more wear and tear. The package may be damaged, or the item has been completely repackaged. In this case, some key accessories may also be missing.
Used – Acceptable: The product features noticeable wear, but is still fully functional. It may contain slight cosmetic damage and/or light wear and tear. Essential and non-essential accessories may also be missing, but this will be noted in the product listing.
Used – As-is: The item shows extensive cosmetic damage and/or wear and tear. It can still perform its main functions, but may be missing valuable components. It may not work properly unless the items are purchased separately. The full condition of the item will be shown in the product listing.
Look, I know what you’re thinking: “Why haven’t I ever come across the Amazon Resale section, and where do I find it?” For starters, chances are, you probably have. You can see resale options on individual product listings under the “Other sellers on Amazon” section. If you want to get to the actual Resale page to canvass all of their offerings, you can click on the drop-down menu on Amazon’s homepage and toggle between different categories to search from, as shown below.
You can also search for specific products in the Resale section, as you would on Amazon’s standard homepage. The other cool thing about Amazon resale? You don’t have to be a Prime Member (although we highly recommend it). These enhanced savings are available to the general public.
If you’re unsatisfied, Amazon also offers a free replacement within 30 days of your purchase. So there’s really no risk when browsing their hidden deals section, other than, of course, the inherent risk of buying too much awesome stuff.
