Ever wonder what it feels like to gift yourself a mini-spa session without ever leaving your windowsill? Well, diving into the world of PMD’s latest facial steamer, I was curious if it could truly live up to the cult crush its sibling products—like their facial cleansing brushes and skin spatulas—have amassed. Having danced with those gadgets before, I came in with sky-high expectations, and spoiler alert: this sleek, futuristic little steamer absolutely brings the heat—literally—in just 30 seconds. It’s compact, chic, and doesn’t just sit there looking pretty; it turns steam therapy into a precision art form with its adjustable nozzle that knows exactly where your skin needs it most. If you’re asking yourself whether this device is the glow-getting game changer it claims to be, stick around—I’m about to spill everything from the steamy highs to the barely-there lows of this luxe little powerhouse. You may already be familiar with PMD, a popular brand known for its facial cleansing brushes and skin spatula. I had a good experience using those products and had high expectations for this facial steamer. Spoiler alert: it delivers impressive results, aligning with the experience of using a design-forward, luxury product.

The slim silhouette reminds me of a sleeker, more futuristic-looking version of the Cult Gaia vase clutch. PMD has a discreet shape that takes up minimal space on my windowsill, but despite the more compact size, it doesn’t skimp on functionalities.

Firstly, it heats water in 30 seconds and is very easy to use. To access the tank, I’ll push the larger oblong button, remove the reservoir, lift the silicone lid, fill it up with water, and pop it back into place before powering on the device. Next, I turn the device around and push the small, circular power button. Above is an oblong-shaped view of the water tank, which is helpful for determining when to refill the tank.

One of my favorite aspects of this device is the adjustable nozzle, which moves up and down. It allows me to concentrate the steam on areas of my face that are particularly congested, such as my T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin), instead of moving my entire face or the device. Not only does it provide a professional-grade feel, but the steam is warm without being excessively hot, which can prevent potential discomfort for those with sensitive skin.

Truthfully, the only downside of this device is minimal. It automatically powers down after 15 minutes, which is longer than other steamers. If you’re pressed for time, this isn’t for you. However, if you want to enjoy an indulgent experience, opt for this powerful, sleek device.
