I won’t bore you with the nitty-gritty, because we’ve written all of that elsewhere. What I will say is the AirPods Pro 2 are the everyman model. If you want something for commutes or workouts, or when you need a little noise canceling to kill the sound of your yard equipment while you listen to a podcast and cut the grass, the AirPods 4 are the less technical model for Luddites like me. You can get them with noise canceling, or you can pay a mere $100 and get them plain-Jane. Then, the AirPods Max are the big dog of critical listening numbers. My fiancée has a pair, and I swipe them whenever a new album I really care about comes out. With Apple Music (of which I’m a devoted user), you get lossless streams, and the AirPods Max actually come close to studio headphones. Can’t go wrong with any model, especially when we’re seeing deals like we are right now. Grab a pair, load up the new Oasis live sets, and stop scrolling.
