Just a week ago, Sydney Sweeney made waves when she hit the red carpet in a chainmail naked dress that left very little to the imagination. Now, as she promotes her new psychological thriller film, The Housemaid, based on Freida McFadden’s hit 2022 novel of the same name, she’s keeping things a little more bundled up.
Of course, with the temperatures cooling down, it’s a little less practical to free the nipple, so Sweeney opted instead for a few sleek fall fits this past Wednesday, which displayed her cool-girl style—and her dedication to luxury staples.
First, she stepped out in a 2000s-era Miu Miu dress in chocolate brown, which she paired with matching suede boots from Gianvito Rossi. She accessorized the monochromatic look with a corduroy Miu Miu backpack and round sunglasses with auburn lenses.
Then, the Euphoria star swapped her collared mini for a tan trench from Markgong, which she treated like a dress. Along the middle, a studded belt hung from underneath the chest flap like a sash, and Sweeney contrasted the piece with some jet-black boots and a Manu Atelier handbag in leather.
Once the sun had set, Sweeney decided to do another outfit change, pulling out a full ensemble from the Patou Fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection.
This fit consisted of a hickory-colored midi skirt and blazer, layered over a black silky top, which coordinated with the thick, crocodile-leather belt at Sweeney’s waist. For accessories, she added a set of thin, oval-shaped sunglasses from Gucci and pebbled-leather black boots that extended to her thighs.
Did you think she was done, though? Not quite yet. Later, Sweeney put her own spin on Princess Diana’s “revenge dress” look, with an asymmetrical, off-the-shoulder black minidress from Magda Butrym, which she paired with black tights and inky slingback pumps, while keeping on the same Gucci sunglasses from earlier.
Finally, to finish her high-fashion day, the Emmy nominee stepped out in some wintry whites, including a cable-knit sweater with tulle sleeves, slacks, and a fringe, blanket-like cape that she draped over her shoulders. She also sported white pumps, a snowy-colored handbag, and a pair of white Prada sunglasses for a monochromatic finish.
If there’s one thing Sweeney knows how to do, it’s keep our attention.
