Unlock the 28 Must-Watch TV Shows of 2025 That Everyone’s Sweating to See—Are You Ready to Join the Hype?
Ever find yourself caught between loving a show and scratching your head over some of its twists? That’s exactly how I felt watching season 3 of The White Lotus unfold in Thailand—sometimes a masterpiece in slow motion, other times a puzzle dipped in a little too much mystique. Mike White, the brain behind this rollercoaster, dives deep into spirituality, violence, and generational trauma with a cast that could probably teach a masterclass in acting. Yet, not every character’s journey hits the bullseye. Still, with MVPs like Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, and Aimee Lou Wood, it’s clear this season carved its unique place—even if it didn’t fully deliver on every front. So, is this a dip in genius or just a peculiar detour before the next big hit? Stick around, because season 4 looks like it’s primed to shake things up again. LEARN MORE

My (occasional!) frustration with this season of The White Lotus is well-documented. Still, a down year for series creator Mike White is much better than the rest of 2025’s slate. In season 3’s jaunt to Thailand, White explored themes of spirituality, violence, generational trauma, and the depths of the North Carolina accent. Not every character’s arc resonated this time around, but as usual, a stellar ensemble cast—Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, and Aimee Lou Wood are easily this season’s MVPs—made for genuine appointment viewing. And I doubt that will change when season 4 rolls around. —B.L.
