The buildings are heavily dependent on grid power, and have zero solar panels. Penrith’s homes run on renewable energy that can cut costs by as much as 40 percent. Faber’s courtyards aren’t nearly as extensive. Penrith’s Nepean Parks or trails along the river. Penrith’s bike lanes as well as recycling programs encourage green living, in contrast to Faber’s city-centric approach.
