Unlock Your Ultimate Power: The 4 Smart Rings That Can Transform Your Health and Performance Like a Champion

Ever wonder if your finger could double as a fitness tracker? Well, the Samsung Galaxy Ring is here to prove that sometimes, the best tech comes wrapped in a tiny, stylish circle — but with a catch. If you’re riding the Android wave, especially with a Galaxy phone, this ring could be the sleek gadget that finally convinces you to ditch bulky wearables. Yet, if you’re an iPhone aficionado, it’s a no-go zone, so don’t even think about getting your hopes up. Still, for the rest of us, this little beauty slips on light as a feather, tracks your sleep like a pro, and even offers a charger-cum-carrying-case — yes, less cable chaos! But does it hold up over time? Is that $400 price tag really worth it? Buckle up, because this isn’t your typical tech review; it’s a deep dive into whether the Galaxy Ring is a smart buy or just another shiny promise that fades fast. LEARN MORE

This ring is a sweet deal for Android users, not for iPhone users. And by that I mean it doesn’t work with iPhones, so don’t even bother. That being said, don’t let the name deceive you: Any Android phone works with the Samsung Galaxy Ring—even the Pixel. If you do own a Galaxy phone, all the Samsung apps come preinstalled, and you can access extra features like Samsung Find. Plus, initial pairing and setup is a lot easier for Galaxy users.

Once you get it set up and on your finger, though, it’s a gorgeous and lightweight smart device—one that I didn’t want to take off. It’s a perfectly fine (and comfortable) sleep tracker if that’s all you need.

There’s no subscription fee for Samsung Health, which makes it an easier recommendation to the average person. Fitness-heads will need something that lets you dive a little deeper anyway, so they won’t mind paying a small fee. But the regular joe (read: me) finds plenty of data on my day’s sleep and exercise presented to me in a fun and readable form.

Something I’ll say in Oura’s favor is that the build quality of Samsung’s product is lacking in comparison. After only a couple weeks of use, I noticed the edges of my black Galaxy Ring starting to scratch and wear down. It’s not terrible, but it’s enough to make it not flawless, which is a bummer when you’re paying $400.

But my favorite feature of the Galaxy Ring is the charger, which doubles as a carrying case. It can hold a bit of extra charge, too. This way if you are going on a day trip, you don’t even need to bring any additional cord clutter—just a watch and a case.
