International advisory firm Interpath has appointed Brad Goodey to establish and lead its Financial Restructuring service offering in Ireland.

Goodey joins as a Managing Director with more than 25 years’ restructuring experience and arrives from EY-Parthenon where he held a senior role in its Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team.

At Interpath, Goodey has been tasked with establishing and leading the firm’s Financial Restructuring offering, which will support corporates, lenders, financial sponsors and other critical stakeholders in navigating stressed and distressed situations.

The launch of Financial Restructuring in Ireland will complement Interpath’s existing Financial Restructuring team based across the UK, France, Spain, Germany and Hong Kong.

Having started his career in restructuring at Grant Thornton Australia, Goodey moved within the firm to the UK and later undertook a secondment in the Corporate Restructuring team at HSBC London.

Following a period with PwC’s Restructuring team in Sydney, he joined EY’s Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team in Dublin in 2016.

Kieran Wallace, Head of Interpath in Ireland and Global Head of Restructuring said: “We have created a team with Ireland’s best known and most respected corporate advisory practitioners under one roof and are committed to further investing across our Restructuring and Advisory practices.

“Brad’s extensive knowledge of financial restructuring and proven track record advising organisations in distress through complex challenges outside of formal processes further deepens the support we can offer clients as they navigate an increasingly dynamic and demanding environment.”

Commenting on his appointment, Goodey added: “Interpath is redefining what clients can expect from a restructuring adviser.

“With a proven track record in financial restructuring, independence from conflicts, and a clear ambition to grow, this is an exciting opportunity to build on that momentum.

“As Irish businesses continue to be impacted by uncertain economic and geopolitical conditions, I look forward to helping clients navigate these challenges by providing independent advice and delivering innovative restructuring solutions beyond traditional formal insolvency processes.

“I am excited to contribute to Interpath’s ongoing success and working closely with the Dublin team, as well as Interpath’s wider international restructuring and deal advisory network, including the highly regarded financial restructuring team in London led by Amanda Blackhall O’Sullivan.”
